The Gabriel Goings Experience
I recently got to sit down with my brother-in-law, Gabriel Goings for his podcast, The Gabriel Goings Xperiment. We got to talk a bit about how I got into Education and some of the philosophy I hold about education, leadership, and mentorship. An upcoming podcast project I am working on to dive deeper into the concept of Educating Through Hope, Integrity, Community and Success. I will be featuring community leaders as well as talking about how education plays a role in community and success and how all of these factors work together to create the best possible outcomes for the future.
A King’s Journey
“A King’s Journey" tells the story of Kingmakers of Seattle participant DeMarcus Belle and his teacher and mentor, Emery Walters. Kingmakers is funded by the Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) in partnership with Seattle Public Schools’ Department of African American Male Achievement and provides culturally specific programming emphasizing positive self-identity, literacy, and academic mentoring for young black men.
